Yep, I never thought the day would come when I see infants and toddlers in sports wear. Those parents must be some hardcore fans! Whether it is basketball, baseball, football, or soccer, they make toddler jerseys these days for almost any sport and any player. I am sure the kid does not know or care which player he is supporting, but I guess it looks cute.
You would think since there is much less material involved these jerseys would cost much less. Well, I was wrong too. Toddler jerseys are not cheap and even finding them can be hard, but there are some ways to save a few bucks if you know where to look.
Second hand baby clothing stores often have these at good prices since they are not in demand as much as normal baby clothes. I bet you can save over 60% off retail if you get lucky and find one in good shape that does not have drool or other stains on it. I saw quite a few Brett Favre fanatics with these on their kids, also, Lebron James fans have them on their kids quite a bit too.
Do not confuse these with youth jerseys or a kids jersey, these are really small and meant for ages 3 and under. They may not get much wear out of them since kids grow so fast, but they can support their favorite team while they can. I recommend buying them slightly larger so you do not have to buy the same Romo jersey 5 times in 5 years, as they could get very pricey.
In the end the goal is to have a fun loving kid and hope they like and support the same teams we do. That makes it a fun situation all the way around.
