Brandon Knight is one of the top recruits that Calapari got in his current class at Kentucky. They never seem to run out of talent their even though they had a bunch of guys drafted in the last NBA draft. They lost last year kinda early in my opinion and should be ready to get back to the Final Four if these young guys can play up to their hype.
Knight is a good sized point guard that can shoot and score with the best of them. He takes quite a few shots for his position, but that is more normal with today’s PG’s. He also is good on the boards and seems to play with an edge and chip on his shoulder. This tough kid should be an immediate impact player with the Wildcats. Do not be surprised if you see another one and done guard like we did last year with John Wall. If plays anything like Wall the bookstore will be selling out of his Brandon Knight jersey in no time.
Update: The Detroit Pistons just drafted him. Better grab his Pistons jersey now!
Like always though, check EBAY for the bargains on cheap jerseys like I normally mention in my posts about getting good deals on sports jerseys. Now back to Knight.
He seems to want the ball in his hands and should be able to deliver in the clutch. I think he will fill out his thin frame too once he gets to Kentucky and gets a bit stronger. He should be looking forward to the NBA. Wall got really strong and muscular there and I expect Knight to be the same way. It is a great school to goto to prepare for the NBA.
There also got some good talent with Enes Kanter and Terrence Jones coming to the Wildcats this fall as well. Kanter had some issues but it appears he is going to play.
There was recently some news about former guard Eric Bledsoe getting some grades in High School. Seems like Calapari will always be in the news as his high profile tends to draw more skepticism than others.
