I am not a huge fan of this guy. I am retired, I am back, I love this game, whatever the drama queen has to say I do not listen anymore.  However, he can still play with the best of them.   Brett Favre is a legend and his unique style still makes him a top 5 quarterback even today.  While I disagree with how he handles himself off the field, he is a leader and motivator on the field. That is where it counts.

Coming out of Southern Miss. Favre was not a highly touted prospect.  Many did not even know if he would be a starting quarterback in the NFL.  That quickly changed when he got his opportunity with the Green Bay Packers.  The numbers do not lie as he led them to 1 Super Bowl victory and 3 MVP trophies along the way.  He was an overall games-man with his play fakes and misdirection that always leaves the defenses guessing where he will go with the ball.

While Brett had a great career in Green Bay, soon he would put on a new Brett Favre jersey elsewhere.  The New York Jets signed him looking for an experienced quarterback that could put them over the top. While he played well, the team did not really fit his style and they did not make it far into the playoffs.  Favre said he was done and retired for good this time.

That soon changed as rumors swirled about his return. No one knew what to believe since he has pulled this stunt before.  Soon he said he was done, then he changed his mind, then changed it again. People were getting fed up with this and finally he announced he was going to play for the Minnesota Vikings.

This instantly made them a super bowl contender since they have one of the best running backs in the game in Adrian Peterson.  Sydney Rice is also emerging as a great threat down the field.  The Vikings always seem to have a solid defense and this year is even better than last.  With all these things going for them the Vikings are armed to make a deep postseason run.

Favre would like nothing more than to stuff his jersey down Green Bay’s throat.  His tenure there ended on a bad note and he wants to show the world that he can still play on the highest level in the NFL.
