With a little over a month left in his Freshman season at OSU, Braxton Miller has had some ups and downs. While no one expected him to be like Pryor in just a few games, he has shown some promise for the Buckeyes to look forward to in the coming years. While limited by the lack of a solid running game and deep threat wide outs, Miller has had trouble finding guys open in the passing game. Not is all his fault though, since this is not a typical Ohio State team.
The fallout from the previous troubles has hurt the talent level and the rest of the Big Ten is taking advantage of the down year. However, do not look for it to last very long. Once Braxton gets the system under his belt and they get some 5 star recruits it will be a different story.
Whenever you lose players and the head coach right before the season there is going to be trouble. College football at this level is a very long planning process and changes that big cause huge problems.
With Tressel gone and new coaches taking over, OSU should look to be back next year. They already are out of the title hunt and are just looking to end the year on a solid note. A few more wins and a bowl game victory will go a long way. Fans in Columbus always support their team with buying jerseys and gear, even through the tough times this year.
With a strong arm and quick feet, Miller should be able to excel in his remaining years, if he gets a solid running game and a little help at WR. The defense is a tad down too, so if they tighten up that side of the football they should be able to get a few more possession as well.
