Deron Williams New Jersey Nets

Wow!  What a trade.

Deron Williams is now a New Jersey Net.  After failing to get Carmelo, many thought the Nets would not do anything until the offseason. Well, most people were wrong. Williams is a top 3 point guard in the league, if not the best, and will be the catalyst for the Nets to build around for many years to come.

He is a large point guard that can score as well.  His big size also allows him to play solid defense against some of the best guards in the league. He really has no weakness to his game, but he does got unnoticed a bit over in Utah. Now, with the New Jersey Nets you should see more press coverage of him on the East coast.

No one really picked a Deron Williams Nets jersey, and many were surprised to see him traded, since there are not many unknown trades happening these days with the likes of Twitter, FB, and so on. But this one caught many people off guard.

Without Deron Williams Utah may not have even been a playoff team, and the Nets still may not be right away, but he will be leading them in the right direction.

Williams and the Nets should both benefit from this trade and many New Jersey fans will now go out and buy jerseys, hats, shirts and so on to support their team.  It has been a few years since the Nets were really good and the fans are waiting for a return to the playoffs. While they did not get Carmelo, they still got a great player that will have the ball in his hands almost every time down the court.

It should be an exciting last few months of the season to see if the Nets can make a late season playoff run. You never know in the east.

Carmelo Anthony Knicks Jersey Is Here!

Finally, a deal has been done and Carmelo Anthony is a New York Knick.  The Knicks were always in pursuit as this could be the piece of the puzzle needed to get them to the next level. With Stoudemire leading the way they were a very good team.

Now, with Carmelo a Knick they could be one of the best teams in the NBA. Chauncey Billups also comes along with the package making up for the loss of Felton.  This is a huge plus for the Knicks and many people are saying this could be the trade to get New York back in contention.

He is probably going to make over $20 million a year making him one of, if not the, highest paid basketball players in the league. He can flat out score and his defense is improving everyday.  He should make his debut in a few days for the Knicks.

While many think this is good, they still are not yet the team to beat in the East. That goes through Boston and Miami, however this puts them in the same category of teams that could do a lot of damage come playoff time. No matter what you think of him, there will be many people wearing a Carmelo Anthony Knicks jersey over the rest of the season. He can play ball with the best of them.

Let us also talk a minute about Billups. This guy is a NBA champ and many need to realize he still got game.  He can score and handle the rock with the better players in the league. He went a bit unnoticed since his title days back in Detroit, but can still help out a team and maybe lead them to a deep playoff run. You will also see many in a Chauncey Billups Knicks jersey following this trade.  Now matter what you think of the city, the people there support their teams.

The New York Knicks fans will be out in full force. Spike Lee is pumped and will probably not sleep tonight.

Should be fun to watch the rest of the season.

LaMarcus Aldridge – Portland Trail Blazers

LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trailblazers has achieved many things in his career as a forward/center and it’s not over yet. During his time with the Trailblazers he has achieved goals that others cannot say they have, one of the more impressive victories he earned in a game against the Chicago Bulls in which he earned 42 points for the trailblazers an obvious victory for the rookie.

He also got a whopping 19 rebounds in their game against the Milwaukee Bucks, the player has talent that is one thing we can assure ourselves of. And according to his NBA stats over the years you can safely assume he is always trying to better himself.

This is evident because of how the stats chronologically increase from year to year. In the season of 2007 he starts with five rebounds and nine points per game, this increases through out the years and in the season of 2010 he has obtained nine rebounds and 21 points per game.

The young player is determined and always wants to challenge himself, this recipe makes for a great player. He is so great he is one of the Trailblazers captains now, the other being Brandon Roy.

Prior to his NBA career he attended the University of Texas, where in 2004 he put his name in the NBA draft and then promptly withdrew his name. He wanted to finish college, but in 2006 he re entered his name and this time for good. The LaMarcus Aldridge jersey was soon a huge hit and only Roy probably out sells him.  The red and black jerseys in Portland are cool looking and it is also a tough place to play.

He was traded to the Trailblazers by the Bulls, and his career has taken off since then. With excellent increasing stats he is seen as one of the greats. His recently play has made him a great contender for the All Star game, even though he would get more press in a bigger city, he still gets his name out there.
