Once again there are big expectations down in Georgia as the Bulldogs should have another very good team. Now the hard part is getting through the SEC without any problems.
Much easier said than done in College Football. The Bulldogs will be led by one of the best WR’s in the country. AJ Green has the size, speed and skills to be a top 5 draft pick in next year’s draft. His concern is on this year though and maybe beating a Florida team that last Tim Tebow.
The real question will be how the Bulldogs defense shows up. They cannot give up big points to some of these teams and expect to win. The AJ Green jersey cannot do it by himself. He is only one man. Teams like LSU and Florida will have very stout defenses that will often allow only 20 points to win the game.
Another great wideout names Hines Ward also played at Georgia and you see how far he got. A multiple Super Bowl winner. Green would love to follow in his footsteps and I am sure they have had a talk or two since Hines is a very good guy. If I as there I would try to loosen the other teams up first by establishing a solid running game. Then go play action deep.
Also, I think some deep looks on first down may avoid some double coverage on Green, but I bet the safety will always hedge his direction or play a 2 deep zone. Just like another other league, you cannot turn the ball over in the SEC and expect to win many games.
You have to manage the game and the ball and play solid defense. The Red and White/Black uniforms must not be on the field playing defense the whole game or they will probably wear out. Most do. Georgia must control the ball and not get too pass happy and they could end up with the SEC crown.
AJ Green was just drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals. A very interesting play to see if they can get Carson Palmer to return. Either way Green will be a star down there so be sure to get your AJ Green Bengals jersey now, before they sell out. Chad and TO can show him the way.
