Once again AI is in Philly. That is where he should be.  Iverson started his career with the 76er’s over 10 years ago and took them to the NBA Finals, but they just could not get over that hump.  Being under 6 foot tall, Iverson was known for his hard nose playing and scoring ability. He could slash to the lane and finish with the best of them. His mid range jumper was fast and quick and he could pull up and stop on a dime. He routinely scored more than 30 points a game and single handily carried Philadelphia to the playoffs.  Finding his jersey on the court was hard since he was always slashing and moving. His defense was good considering how short he was.

After his time in Philly he spent some years with the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets. He put up good numbers but could not lead his team to the top. He also had a brief stint with the Memphis Grizzlies, but soon left to go back to the 76ers.  Iverson has always liked it there and is happy to be back. They have some young talent there and could make a run at the Eastern Conference playoffs since most of the teams near the middle of the pack are not that great.

His best days as a leading scorer may be gone, but there is no reason not to believe he can score 20 points a night. He is still too fast and too good of a foul shooter to be kept from the scoreboard. Their division also has Boston in it, so it is unlikely they will win that, but you never know.

Allen Iverson wears his jerseys proud and will be a first time Hall of Fame inductee for sure. He is the best short guy to play the game in some time, and maybe one of the best under 6 foot players ever.
