Clemson | Bills | CJ Spiller Jersey

CJ Spiller is a great running back that will be taken in the 1st round of the 2010 NFL draft. The Spiller jersey at Clemson is worn at all their games. I have seen many orange and white jerseys in  that stadium I am sick of those colors by now. He has 4.4. speed and should be strong enough to be a premier back in the NFL.

His combine stats will determine where he goes in the first round, but I think it should be in the top 15. Many times linemen and other defensive players go first since they  are so important. Most teams build from the lines up and that is why the big boys are such a big deal. Also, defenses win championships.

With all the authentic orange and white tiger paw jerseys in the stadium, going to Clemson meant a big home field advantage for the Tigers. The CJ Spiller jersey should be retired some day at the stadium. It seems like they always have very good teams, but never can live up to the pre season hype. Maybe it is because they play in the tough ACC. Many other programs, such as Florida State, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech often get in their way to an undefeated season.

CJ Spiller was a running back that did not get much attention until the last few years of his career. He kind of flew under the radar, but he will not any more as NFL scouts are really looking into him as a 1st round pick in the 2010 draft.  Toby Gerhart is another great running back that should be drafted high.

CJ Spiller was just drafted by the Buffalo Bills. Should be a full backfield with Lynch and Jackson, so I bet they move one of those guys in the offseason. Either way, he will be returning all punts and kicks and the other team will not want to sees the back of the Bills Spiller jersey as they will never catch this guy from behind.

With the NFL Draft coming up in April I thought I should talk about the best Safety in the college game. I think that Eric Berry from Tennessee is the best all around defensive player not name Suh. Some think he will be drafted in the top 5. I think the Detroit Lions could really use a guy like this to help sure up their pass defense.

Sure enough, Eric Berry will have his named called early on in the draft. He has the speed and power combination similar to Ed Reed who we all know how great he was. Berry used to put on an orange and white jersey while with the Tennessee Vols so it will be interesting to see what the next Eric Berry jersey will look like. No matter where he plays I think he will make an immediate impact during his freshman year. Some day Joe Haden could be the first defensive back taken, but I think Berry will go before him.

I remember seeing him make some amazing hits at Tenn. He would just scare wide outs into not going over the middle and really made a difference. While he will not be able to intimidate guys at the same level in the NFL, a hard hitting safety can still change the game.  Just look at how Ronnie Harrison made guys think twice about going up for a ball deep down the field.  When you know you are going to get hit hard, it really makes you think twice about trying to make the catch.  Hopefully Berry can live up to the hype.

Well it looks like the Kansas City Chiefs just took Eric Berry with the 5th pick in the draft. I think the Berry Chiefs jersey will be a big target of mine this year as I love all the Tennessee players, especially Peyton Manning!

Dan Lefevour | NFL Draft 2010

The Dan LeFevour jersey may be the most popular Central Michigan jersey of all time after the NFL draft this year. This guy could be better than Big Ben in Pittsburgh.  If you are doubting his skills because he played at a small school, then know that he leads the NCAA in all time total touchdowns with 150.  He is started since a freshman and it is no wonder he is being scouted so heavily as he has the size and arm strength, combined with a good touch, to succeed in the NFL.

It will be interesting to see how he compares to the other great QB’s at the NFL combine.  If he looks better than Clausen, McCoy, and Bradford, he could sneak into the top 10 of the draft.  Many have him 3 or 4 on their quarterback board but I think he has the most upside, except maybe an underrated Tebow, in this draft.

The draft should be interesting because the best college quarterbacks may not be the best pros. While Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy all had great teams in school, they each have question marks about whether or not they will be great in the NFL. Both LeFevour and Clausen came from teams that were not in the top 20 and may be the first two quarterbacks taken.

It is always interesting to see how these guys do in their first year.  I like it when rookies get some game time action and not ride the bench for a few years before getting a chance to see what they can do.  If you draft a guy to be your man then get him in the game.  Unless the guy truly is not ready or the team is horrible, then I may not want him getting destroyed before his career even starts.
